
Ingredients
- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup warm water
- ½ cup fresh milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 3½-4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 egg plus 1 tsp water for egg wash
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and 1 tsp of sugar. Set aside until it bubbles.
- In the bowl of a standing mixer fitted with a dough hook, add 2 cups flour, sugar, salt, yeast mixture, eggs, milk, and melted butter. Mix until incorporated.
- Add the rest of the flour. Turn the speed up to medium and let it mix for about 5 to 7 minutes or until you have a smooth and elastic dough.
- Take the dough out of the mixer and form a ball.
- Put the dough the oiled bowl and cover with towel. Place it in a warm spot to rise for an hour.
- When the dough doubles in size, punch down dough and divide it into 12 equal parts. around 80 grams each.
- Roll each piece of dough into a ball and place in a baking tray. Cover with a towel and let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
