Lengua de Gato (Filipino Butter Cookies)

Lengua de Gato is a Filipino version of butter cookies. This cookie is small but very crispy and buttery.

In Spanish, Lengua de gato mean cat's tongue. This cookie was named as such because of its rounded shape which looks similar to the tongue of a cat.

Lengua de Gato is made up of butter, sugar, flour and egg whites. A pastry bag and a tip, preferably Wilton #2B, is used because its jagged edges and flat bottom makes up the shape of the cookie.
