3 Easy Ways to Make Exciting Halloween Treats
Since we arrived in Canada, my daughters always go trick or treating. They love wearing different costumes for Halloween. This year will be different because of the pandemic. Instead of going out trick or treating, we'll be at home making these treats. I bought my decor candies (eyes, fangs and hair) in dollar store.
Part 1 Mummy, Monster, Vampire Rice Krispies
Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
8 oz marshmallow
4 cups rice krispies
melted white chocolate
sticks
candies (eyes, fangs, hair)
food coloring
Procedures:
In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add the rice krispies. Stir until well coated.Divide the rice krispies into two portions. Put coloring on the other portion.
Press mixture into 9x7-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into desired size.
Decorate the rice krispies. Use melted chocolate to attach the eyes, hair and fangs.
Part 2 Oreo Cookie Bats
Ingredients: Oreo Cookies, Decor candies such as eyes and fangs, melted chocolates
Open an oreo cookie. Cut the cookie with no cream in half. Take one half of the cookie and place on top of the cookie with cream. It will be wings for the bats. Put another cookie to cover.
Place melted chocolates on the oreo to glue the eyes and fangs.
Part 3 Witches' Broom Cookies
Ingredients: cookies, mini Reese's chocolates, pretzel sticks, melted chocolates
I use the peanut blossom recipe for the cookies or you can buy your favorite cookie. Prepare the mini Reese's chocolates by turning it upside down. Dip the pretzel and stick to the Reese's chocolates. Then dip the Reese's chocolates and stick on top of the cookie.
