Fudge Brownies
I found this recipe from the Better homes and gardens book. Unlike other fudge brownie recipes that uses cocoa powder, this one uses chocolate bars.
I also switched some ingredients. For example, I used semi-sweet chocolates in order to use less sugar.
You can put your own spin on it by adding nuts and cream cheese frosting if you like.

- 3 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup butter
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ⅔ cup all purpose flour
- ¼ tsp baking soda
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup icing sugar
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- ½ tsp vanilla

Line a 8x8x2 inch baking pan with a parchment paper extending over the ends of the pan. Set aside.

In a saucepan, heat and stir chocolate and butter until smooth. Set aside to cool.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Then add the sugar and eggs one at a time until smooth. Stir in the vanilla.

Stir in flour, and baking soda in chocolate mixture.

Spread the batter in the prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes.
Cream Cheese Frosting (optional)

In a beat the cream cheese and butter. Then add vanilla and flour. Beat on medium speed until smooth.

Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over batter in pan or use star tip to pipe in the frosting.
