Filipino Canadians in Canada

There are 837, 130 Filipino - Canadians based on the 2016 census from Statistics Canada. Most Filipinos are concentrated in the Prairies, namely, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

My husband and I were both born in the Philippines.  We decided to immigrate to Canada in 2004.  It is not easy to apply for immigration, as there are several qualifications that you have to meet. You also have to meet a certain financial criteria. Aside from the hurdles of applying, the sad part is leaving your family and friends behind.  We have met a lot Filipino Canadians who left the Philippines to provide a better future for their children.

If you want to learn more about this, Canada has a real time model for population. Click here for more: https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/71-607-x/71-607-x2018005-eng.htm
