Maja Blanca

Maja blanca is a Filipino dessert or "kakanin". It is made of coconut milk with corn and is often served cold.

You can also top it with toasted coconut (latik) or shredded cheese. To make toasted coconut see the link.

coconut corn pudding

  • 2 cans coconut milk (1 can 398 ml)

  • 1 can condensed milk (300 ml)

  • 1 can whole kernel corn (341 ml)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 cup shredded coconut (Topping)

  1. Prepare ingredients.

  2. Grease a container. Set aside.

  3. Whisk milk and cornstarch then set aside.

  4. In a saucepan, pour coconut milk and sugar. Stir.

  5. Add the condensed milk.

  6. Then add the corn.

  7. When it starts to boil, add the cornstarch and stir vigorously.

  8. When it thickens, pour in the container.

  9. Let it cool and chill.

  10. Garnish with toasted shredded coconut (latik).
