Maruya or Banana Fritters
Maruya or banana fritters is a popular snack from the Philippines. We often buy it from street vendors. I remember we had a choice between turon (banana roll), bananacue (bananas in a stick with sugar) or maruya.
The Philippines is one of the largest exporter of bananas, second from Ecuador. There are so many ways to cook bananas, whether it be the main course or dessert; this is why people like to eat it.
