Peanut Butter and Oats Bar
Peanut butter and oats are perfect combination. I like the crunchiness of the oats and smoothness of the peanut butter.
You can also put icing such as cream cheese or just a drizzle of dark chocolate ganache.

Peanut Butter & Oats Bar
peanut butter with oats
- 1 cup shortening
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ⅔ cup peanut butter
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- 1½ cup quick cooking oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350°F and line with parchment paper a 15x10x2 inch pan. Set aside.

In a standing mixer with paddle attachment, combine the shortening, sugars and peanut butter until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, beat well after each addition.

Add in water and vanilla.

Beat in the flour, oats, baking powder and salt. Mix until just combined.

Spread the batter in a greased pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool on a wire rack and cut into squares.
