Chocolate Crinkles
Chocolate Crinkles is my favorite holiday cookie. It is soft, fudgy and delicious. I always remember chocolate crinkles during Christmas time in the Philippines.

Ingredients
Cookie Dough
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup icing sugar
Instructions
Cookie Dough
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place silicone mat or parchment paper on the baking sheet.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder. Set aside.
- In a standing mixer with paddle attachment, combine sugar and eggs.
- Add oil and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients. Mix until well blended.
- Cover with plastic and refrigerate dough for at least an hour.
- Use an ice cream scooper to form the dough into 1 inch balls.
- Roll in icing sugar then put them on the baking sheets.
- Bake until cookie cracks on top or around 15 minutes. Don't over bake. The center should still be soft.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least an hour before baking.
