Fruit Salad (Filipino Style Dessert)
Ever since we moved to Canada, this is my go to quick dessert. Fruit salad is very easy to make. No cooking is needed and you simply combine all ingredients.
I always have big portions since I make it during special occasions such as birthdays or Christmas season. Since this pandemic, there were a lot of restrictions, so I made the fruit salad just for us.
I remember my aunt advising me on how to make fruit salad. She said the most important thing is to drain the fruits overnight. This will ensure the salad is not soupy.
For this recipe, I'm using heavy whipping cream as base. I only use 3 tablespoons of condensed milk as the coconut strings added sweetness to the salad. This is very simple and easy way to make Filipino fruit salad.
